Is the iroc z a rare car?????

Me and a friend of mine have a bit of an argument going on about his iroc z. He swears his car is only 1 of about 110 made. I have never seen anything to say that this is true...If anyone knows and could let me know once and for all if this car is really a rare car, I'd love to know!! I would think his car would be worth a hell of alot of money if this were true, and the plain truth is that it ain't!! Any response would be much appreciated...THANKS!!

You have to look at the options to see if there are any rare cars out there. In 1988 they built something like 4 irocs with the 1LE package.

I would say 4 out of almost 28000 cars is pretty rare no?

Hold up fellas...... There are some pretty rare IROCs out there. The 1LE cars are "VERY RARE" and worth big money. The G92 optioned cars are also quite rare. Once you start breaking down the RPO codes his car might be rare... It could be a B2L or G92 optioned car, with the decal delete option and certain paint code that makes it 1 out of 100.... Take a picture of your friends RPO codes (inside the center console) and post it, we will tell you how rare your pal's car is....

What year is it? If it is a 1990, it has a better chance of being rare... and if it has G92 in the RPO codes, it is a rare IROC.

I have a 1990 G92 5-speed which came from the factory white in color, with the "decal and stripe" delete option.... which makes it the ultimate sleeper. I have the original window sticker, it sold for $18,550 brand new out of Landover, Maryland.

back on the "ultimate sleeper" subject, you should see the faces on the 5.0 Mustang drivers that have went out of their way to race me... Most Fox body Stangers don't give the GM 305 much respect. Most of the people I've blasted down the road with can't believe that it doesn't have a 350 in it.

With a speed limiter set to 130mph...now move to 1989 and get the TTA..same Grand National engine...no speed limiter

By the way, I'm not trying to get on anybodys shit list, I own a 5.0 mustang myself (insert mullet joke here). If G.M. would would get off their combined asses and produce a new Camaro or Firebird, could you imagine the horsepower war that would create?

well, personally ive got my fingers crossed for the new beta platform, smaller than zeta and already being planned by holden down in australia, they have a coupe on the beat platform with a twin turbo 3.6L V6 making 375hp. not bad for a base model camaro ;) throw on a set of hot V8's, a 302 for the Z and a 6.0L for the SS. and id be a happy man.

Do you remember which Dealership you got it from? I went to elementary school in Landover. I probably know exactly where you go it. My friend has a 305 in his Firebird. It was out of a Camaro....its really nice and probably better then most 350's out there

oh sorry didnt mean to cause a rumor, the 302 and 6.0L SS are my ideas, not GM.

do a simple web search, youll find something on it. its not on the holden web page because its still a concept.

Nothing wrong with 5.0 Mustang... I've had three of them in the past, and currently looking for a 87-92 GT (convertible prefered) Would seriously consider trading my 87 IROC 5.7 TPI for a decent GT Mustang...
