Hi guys;
Anyone here replaced the body control module? I was thinking of having a theft deterrent system, installed in my vehicle. Aftermarket systems retails for like $ 200.00 - $500.00 installed, so I was thinking of putting a Venture LS body control module instead. The LS BCM has the same basic functions as an aftermarket one (anti-theft feature), + retains the remote-entry function. Anyone here has done this on his vehicle?
What's the correct GM part number?
Thanks a lot. :)
Yves.

Just an opinion,
Im not too sure about this, but my guess is that adding an LS BCM may cause more headache then good. The LS BCM might "search" for items that simply dont exist on the base model like OnStar, keyless entry... Etc.. It might not be worth your trouble.
