Can someone please help?
I have a '92 olds 88, 3800 has been running great. It has about 120k miles on it. I was coasting down hill on the highway yesterday when the engine just died. I pulled over in rush hour and tried to start it. It turns over strong and fast, but no fire, or even an attempt to sputter. When I got the car home I figured either no gas/no spark. I sprayed ether in the TB and still not even a hint of a try. I put a spark plug tester on one of the spark plug wires and no spark. I took off the ICM and tested it at Autozone. It tested good. I have been reading the threads about the cam/crank sensors and the cam magnet. All of these threads seem to have the engine at least sputtering or attempting to fire even if it may be at the wrong time. I am kind of at a loss as to why I have absolutely NO fire of any kind what so ever. Can anyone please help? I called off work today to fix this, I have no other way to get to work.
Thanks!

Finally got it!
It appears that when a crankshaft sensor fails you get NO spark at all. Installed a new crank sensor and all is well again...
