Need a little help here on making a decision. For a while i've been wanting to install a flowmaster on my 98 blazer after a buddy got one installed on his S-10. The thing is, he said that it actually felt like it reduced the power while making it sound better. The flowmaster does sound decent though. I have recently been going throught these forums and found the Ravin Z 55 which sounds like it might be pretty nice. The problem is, i cain't find a site to get any kind of price. The flowmaster's are gonna run me $140 at the local exhaust shop but i don't know about the ravin exhaust. I will prolly go with the Ravin if i can find a price. I also explored midas.com and still couldn't find a price. Any help is appreciated. Thanx in advance!

Go to Midas and ask for the price.

Yip, and it flows much better than a Flow40.

the more you drive with the ravin, the louder and deeper the tone will get.

cut old muffler off, insert new one, just how they do it to any other muffler welded on, or they can take clamps off and put new muffler on, depending on how its attached, and if any one has to ask, go with the ravin, much better sound... i dont have one, i bought one from their competitor flow pro, but thats becaus the midas here in town is as bad if not worse then some auto zone;s

the 55 is not real loud when they first put it on , the more you run it ,the better it gets. i was told the 33 is alot louder , but i've never herd one.our 55 installed ran around 275 with chrome tip.

is the 33 about the same as flowmaster one chamber?

Probably, but the Z33 will flow a lot more and produce a lot of noise.
I have the Z55, and it is about as loud as I would ever want it.
Trust me on this.

I've been looking at getting one of these. My question is, does the new muffler use a different diameter of pipe? My exhaust system is in perfect shape so I don't want to replace the pipe unless I need to. Thanks. Peace-

Just get a 2.25" and you will be happy.
