90 lumina questions about brake booster and wires

First does anyone know how to remove the brake booster. How do you know how to remove the bolts holding the power brake unit to the firewall? Second I have a red wire with a grey plug coming from where the positive battery terminal connects to a relay. Does that red wire plug into something? Third I have another plug by the ashtray with orange, grey, and black. Its plugged up but the orange wire coming out is loose and another black wire is loose coming from the light above the ashtray. Does the orange wire connect to the black wire? They look as though they do I just need to know if the colors change. Thanks everyone. What are the symptoms of a bad brake booster? I was told that the brake booster was the problem but what does everyone think? Symptoms, with the vaccum connected to the brake booster the car stalls out. With it disconnected the car runs but the brakes are real hard to press and the hose to the brake booster pulls major vaccum i can hear it. What do you think?

You'd have to block off the line with it disconnected and tell me how it runs then.

Don't connect an orange and black wire together. Danger. Most likely opposite polarity.

You have to unbolt the booster and pedal linkage from under the dash. PITA.
