C6- progress

Hey,

Does this color seem right for the LeMans blue? Kat?
It is gunze marine blue mica. Interior will be tan.

Maybe a touch on the dark side, but it looks good on it.

I painted my revell Golf with Testors sapphire blue metal flake (#1639)
This pic is after 3 light coats , and i think it darkens a bit as the paint gets deeper

What kind of camera are you using?

My friends I have "borrowed" for an extended time:wink: It is a "Kodak Easyshare CX4130 3.2 MegaPixel"

maybe not a spot on LeMans Blue but still a good color for the Vette. More!

It almost looks chrome in the "out door" picture..

I used a Duplicolor paint, I can't tell you the exact color until later tonight. Mine came out looking like this:

I have photographed this car sitting on a 1:1 Le Mans ed. Z06, I can dig up some of those and host them for you later on as well, if you want. The color match is dead on. From the pics you put up, it's really hard to tell the color. Are you using a flash? I can't quite figure it out, the pictures just look washed out to me. It might be in part due to this old monitor, I know my GSX pics came out looking funny on this computer.

I lightned the pics:-/ But the one true to the actual color is the 3rd pic. I'll get outside pics 2moro in the sunlight. Yes I had flash. Thanks.

I haven't made much progress. Glued a few of the engine parts together. Nothing really enough for pics. I'll get some later.

Cant wait till its done. Got to love the C6.

Ok. Painted the body with clear. I got bad results. So I painted that over with clear blue. It is slightly darker and less purple now. I hope the paint settles correctly this time. Meh!

Painted the wheels magnesium with gloss to look like the ones in this month's Road&Track. What is that on the roof? GPS or XMRadio thingy?

99.999999% finished interior. EEK! I forgot to paint the interior lights on the flippin doors and some black areas. Are the walls in the back suposed to be black or tan? My refference photos weren't too clear about back there. Gotta fix that part on the upper door too.

lookin good homie Im wiring mine

The lump on the rear is an XM antenna. The walls of the rear hatch, as far as memory serves me, are tan as you have them. I skipped the door lights, they're behind the seats anyways. Where are the fuel rail covers?

Ok. Fixed The Interior Bits. The Clear On The Body Is Fuxored Now Tho. Orange Peel Like I Have Never Seen Before!!! Ahhhcki Have To Do Some Serious Wetsanding. Maybe I Can Finish This By The End Of This Week. !! Color Is Darker Now If I Hadn't Mentioned Previously.

Kat- The Covers Need Their Decals. Or Maybe I'll Paint That Red Lettering On There. Either Way, They Are Coming. P.s. Glad To See You Are Still With Us For The Time Being:)

It's a real pain in the you-know-what to paint the fuel rail cover lettering. I found it was easier to leave the plastic unpainted in black and just do the letters. I had hoped to get some work done on my C6 this week, but it doesn't look likely and I won't be able to for about 1 1/2 weeks, I'm goin on vacation!
