remove headliner, 96 silverado

Need to remove headliner from 96 silverado, ext cab, so I can install two permanent antenna mounts and fish the cable down to the seat console.
Tried removing pillar trim and broke the retaining clip mount on the panel.
how do I remove it without breaking something?
What tools do I need?
Any body manuals available for detailed instructions?
