Okay so my car is running extremely poor. It runs alright for the first while I'm driving then it starts to run very uneasy, not idling steady. The car "jitters" as i'm driving and the engine won't hold a steady RPM. It almost feels as if the clutch is engaging and disengaging really fast causing it to accelerate uneasy. I'm thinking this is a problem with the EGR valve? Same symtoms with my friends Ranger, and it was the EGR valve?
ANY help would be greatly appriciated! Thanks.

Based on other Foci with similar problems, I would be willing to bet it's some sort of emissions control problem...either the EGR, or possibly the DPFE sensor that has been known to cause this problem in a large number of Foci. Ford knows the part is junk, but won't do anything about it...anyways, when the DPFE begins to go, the car undergoes similar symptoms to what you're describing. It's a relativly cheap part (around $40 USD) that you can easily change out yourself. Also, check with your dealer to see if your fuel pump was ever replaced under the recall...that can definitely cause these problems.

Thanks, I'll call the dealer tommorow to see if the car ever got the recall. In another forum a guy said it could possibly be the (TCS) throttle control sensor. Possability?

It could be, but based on a lot of other cars having the same problem, I would be willing to bet it's the pump or the DPFE, if not some other emissions part.
