hey, im going to install a flowmaster on a 2000 2.7 tacoma prerunner, i was thinking of a 40 series because it sounds powerful but looking around on flowmaster i saw a 60 series delta flow for 4 &6 cylinder cars and small trucks, i know i fall right in that category but i dont want it to end up sounding like a ricer. what should i get?

Unless your present muffler has a serious flow restriction (Highly doubtful) repacing it with a noisy less restricktive (are you sure?) would hurt your bottom end torque that trucks need.

The mass of exhaust acks like suction device to pull spent gasses away from your motor helping scavenging and flow. Putting a less restrictive muffler system (for a truck, not a high winding high rpm motor) will push your torque and HP range to a higher rpm range that does not favor big displacement 4 bangers.
If your racing it's one thing, but for street you want all the bottom end torque your 2.7 litre was designed for.
