Hi,

I finished this a while ago, its a Mazda RX-7. Second generation.
I wanted to build a drift-style car, so it has some sports seats and a momo steering wheel. I also scratch-built a turbo. Also, it has an exhaust system from a Toyota Supra, because... well, because I broke the original system. :uhoh:The exhaust tips are made from a ball point pen, they look kind of big on the pictures but in person they aren't. Maybe I'll take pictures of that stuff later, but for now, here are some other pictures:

I haven't painted the blinkers yet, because I don't know how to paint them. It seems that Tamiya calls for these to be painted gloss orange, but I don't know if it'll look OK... oh well.

Funny you post this, I just bought the same kit.

Well, look good. The muffler does look kinda big. I want to see some engine pictures.

very nice build! In order to paint the blinkers molded on the body, first paint with the most reflective silver paint (I recommend Testors Enamel Silver Argent) or you can even use BMF. After the paint dries or after you applied BMF, build layers of clear orange until it looks somewhat right (it won't look as good as a separate clear piece)

i think you can use a Sharpie. i used a red one for my AMT ERTL F&F Supra and it looked ok. it comes out more transparent-ish. but yes you probably still need a silver base coat for it. my Supra was silver so i wouldn't really know. lol.

Where did you get the kit at? I'm looking for one.

Thanks for commenting! Jaymes: yes, good idea, I'm leaning towards painting them silver and then painting them clear orange. I could try BMF also, but I don't like working with the stuff... so silver paint it is, then.

badboyz00: The kit is out of production, so it's kind of hard to find. I found mine on an auction site, www.marktplaats.nl, but it's dutch... I think you may be able to find one on e-bay though.

Its kind of a blurry pic, and I didn't put much work in the engine... it has a scratch-built turbo though. Which doesn't really look like a turbo, stupid thing...
