Hi, I have been building Alpina B7 in the past few weeks. It is Revell Premium kit. Overall kit fit is bad, but the car is very detailed!
Onto pictures:

My first time using BMF. Didn't really come out well, the next time will be better :) By the way, it still needs polishing and waxing, so it's quite dull.

looks very sweet so far. I love that color...is it a Tamiya spray? Nice interior scheme too

Thanks. Its Tamiya Ts-51 racing blue, but with a Ts-30 (silver leaf) undercoat to make it look prettier.

Hehe, that would be great. But I don't have the stuff necessary for it, like a solder-thing (what is it called in English? I have no idea). On top of that, I've never worked with lights before!

Meh... I just polished her up, but I ruined the BMF work and the black trim on the sides by doing that... Damn! Also, the hood that came with the kit is severely damaged, problably by it's previous owner... The deck lid is also damaged, it already was when I first opened the box. You can't really tell from the pics, though...

Sooo, the only thing I still like about this build is the engine! That brings me to my next question; wouldn't it be possible to buy a Tamiya 635i, and use the Alpina engine in that one? Or is the Tamiya kit very rare?

Hello, I'm new here and just encountered this thread. Yes, you can put The Revell engine in the Tamiya, and vice-versa. I've built both of them, and they're scaled very very similarly. I think the kits actually share some tooling.
