I finally picked up a samurai this weekend...its an '88.....

it wasn't running when i got it and after tinkering with it yesterday we got it running....its not running too well though....the plugs were fouled with either oil or gas or both....we tested all the wires and theyre good....changed the plugs and gapped them a little more at .40 to see if it would help....checked all the vacuum hoses and cleaned the carb with some gumout spray.......it'll start but will not idle and if you let off the gas it backfires then dies....when its running with the throttle to the floor it won't rev past 2500 rpm......its also leaking oil every time its turned on...i haven't found where the leak is coming from yet......i am leaning towards the carb being bad but right now i just don't know what else to try...any ideas???
