Just purchased my first bird. Im good with the cosmetics but bad with engines. Need some advice. The 4.6l has a bad knock, think its lifters or worse. Im really interested in replacing it with an iterceptor or DOHC engine. Question is, will my wire harness work with these engines, what year models do i look for as far as the swap goes.

the 94 tbird 4.6 is a dohc try using a thick oil to silence the knock.

Yes, the wiring harness will work with a DOHC engine.
It is my understanding you will have to extend & splice a few wires and
you will need a MSD RPM activated switch in order to run the IMRC's on your computer.
Stick with the Gen I (93 – 96) Mark VIII engines.
What engine are you referring to when you say "iterceptor"?

All factory 4.6L MN-12s are SOHC engines.
