If putting a toggle switch on it will make it work then the fan is good. Something else is bad. Follow me? The problem with a toggle switch is you nee a big one to handle that much electrical current. That's why they have relays. Do you know where the temperature sensor is? If so, try grounding it and see if that turns the fan on. If so, then you just need to replace the temp sensor. If the relay and motor are both good then the togle switch needs to be spiced in to the two wires that actuate the relay. I don't even remember where that relay is but if you need help I can check it out and see. I'm assuming you have the 1.9L engine

ok what i was thinking was that there was a break in the circut between the power and the fan, cause when i play around w/ the battery the battery clicks in but only for a second. As for what u were saying Unfortunitly i dont know where the temperature relay is :P so if u can somehow point out where it would be ill try what ur saying but i dont know what im looking for here sorry :eek7:

e-mail me your e-mail address and I'll send you a picture of the temp sensor. I have '93 1.9L engine.

Discovered something interesting. When I disconnect the temp sending unit for the cooling fan the fan comes on. No need to ground it. Will e-mail you picture. I'm having problems posting photos here.....
