Ok im back for another round of fixing my Jetta.

Im still stuck on these 2 issues tho I think im getting closer to solving the problem.

I read through a bunch of earlier posts and saw something that might be the problem i have with my idle problems, stalling when pressing the clutch and all. its called the IDLE AIR CONTROL valve (IAC). This was in a earlier post someone else made, i just need to know where this thing is, and how i go about testing or checking it.

Then also theres my speedometer. Ive narrowed it down to a loose wire as when it drops if i smack the dash it jumps, sometimes it'll work, sometimes not, so whats the easiest way to deal with that?

Lastly a question on shocks, the front springs have broken, can i replace just the springs, or do i need the whole pieces shocks and all? anyone?

Thanks in advance, PJ1

your IAC is located in the air vent that goes from the air filter box to the intake. It will have wires pluged into it right in front of the air filter. just make sure its clean and not broke or chipped and properly hooked up, but i dont know how youd go about testing it.
