Brake Caliper Paint

Anyone know what the best, and cheapest, brake caliper paint kit is out there? I'm looking for red.

Try the VHT (Very High Temperature) brand caliper and rotor paint. They have several options available. I used the spray-can version a couple of weeks ago to paint the calipers, retainers, and the rear rotor 'hats' (I purchased new Powerslots for the front). I sanded the gray coating off of the factory rotors (which had rusted already), and used a wire brush to scuff all other parts clean. Make sure to use brake cleaner on the parts before painting! I let it sit overnight to cure. Don't drive your car if the paint hasn't fully cured - you could end up with brake dust in your new paint job. Anyway, everything came out great looking & I've had many compliments so far.

i picked up the blue duplicolor brush on caliper paint the other day... it looks pretty nice and you dont have to take the caliper off to spray paint it on...i've heard the brush also looks alot nicer then aeresol spray

Auto Zone or Advanced Auto has a kit for like $15.

Brush on sounds better than spray on. Plus less work. I assume I'll still have to scrape and clean off as much of the brake dust as I can. Also how long does the brush on paint take before use? Thanks guys

It only takes a coupler hours at most to dry affectively. I would add another coat just to make sure it spreads over the whole area.
