Heres a somewhat quick story so you all know where i am at, had a 91 explorer, rolled it,flipped it back over and drove it home but the body is shot, got a 92 explorer for 700$, figured id use the parts off the 91 cause i had just done alot to it, 92 ran great for the first couple days, then started leaking tranny fluid like crazy, couldnt even drive it, so i trailored it to a transmission place, the guy told me the torques converter blew up and whent through the rest of the trani and it needs a new one, so i am going to take the one out of my 91 for him to put in, now all i have is a gravel driveway and a ramps, anyone have any tips for taking this trani out before I try to, i was also thinking of just having some freinds help flip it on its side if it will be easier, any advise is appreciated

thanx

puts some plywood on the ground to lie on and make sure you have plenty of jacks to help lower the trany out. when you take the drive shaft out be careful not to damage the ends that go into the trany and rear differential.
