De-squishifying Plastic?

I made a booboo last night. I completely screwed up on the paint job on my back bumper of my car. So I put it in some paint thinner, took it out, and got a good bit of the paint removed so I could try again today. But stupid me, I didn't dump the paint thinner out. Today I went downstairs and saw it ALL over the table I was working. It wrinkled the f'ing card table. And the base of my car (the big black piece) was sitting right in the middle of a huge puddle of it. Needless to say, that piece is kinda squishy right now. I have it soaking in a cup of water to try to remove all the thinner as possible from it and to harden it back up.
Does anyone have any other ideas on how to go about getting that taken care of so it's not soft and squishy anymore? Granted at least it was the least noticable piece, but still, it's a huge piece, and it can't be squishy when I start gluing everything to it.
!@#%@#%, that mixed with my mom's fiance's cancer and heart transplant, EVERYTHING seems to be going wrong right now..

Take it out of the water and let the solvents evaporate into the air, washing it off was fine, but soaking it in water will only trap the solvents for a longer time. You might get lucky and have it firm up in a few days... - Mark

Alright, out of the water it goes...I hope it gets better. I really don't want to have wasted my money. I've spent SO much time trying to make this one look so good!

Is putting it in the freezer a really dumb idea? I don't know! Worth a try.
The car problem is NOTHING compared to the other things you mentioned. Good luck

Yeah, but when nothing is going well, it's the little things that go wrong that affect us the most. Hope the car works out for you!
