Oil lines

I was wondering if i could use the oil feed line from a 1g on my 2g. I know that the oil feed lines are in different spots. The difference that i saw between the two is on the 1g the line comes out the head and on the 2g that same spots just has a nut there to prevent anything to come out. So if i take that out would i be able to use that as the new oil feed line? And if not can i use the stock line to hook up to the 14b?

You can use that port with a stock 1g line, or an aftermarket line designed to feed from that location. You'll need the banjo bolt that goes with the line. I usually make my own. I think the 2g head has a M10x1.00 as opposed to the M10x1.25 on the 1g, so the 1g bolt wont work IIRC. You'll need to plug the port on the oil filter housing if you haven't done so already. You can either use of the allen key plugs like stock if you have some laying around, or a 3/8th BSP (metric version of NPT, 27 vs 28 threads per inch) plug from mcmaster. If you already had a filter housing feed and are changing for some reason, put a 4an cap on the elbow that threads into the housing.

Hoepfully something in there helped. :)

well the reason that i was going to change it is because it doesn't look like the t25 line plugs in there. Also about the oil return line i've heard it will work but you have to make the holes bigger for the screws. My friend says he has an adapter that will let me put in the stock line, I was wondering if anyone has heard of something like that?

What most people do by far is order a stainless feed line kit for 40-50 dollars that feeds from the stock 2g location on the filter housing. Cheap insurance...

I am not aware of any adapter for the return line, nor can I think of any way one could be used. Some poeple cut the return line, cut a 1g line, use the right ends in thier respective locations, and connect them with rubber line. In my experience, rubber line on the return side always leaks though...

To make the 2g line work you dont have to make the holes larger, but move them closer together. I used a round file chucked in a drill. It was time consuming, but easy enough to do.

The stock 1g line will work, but you will have to make a banjo bolt as I mentioned above.
