420a POS idle problems

ok so I searched the fourms and I couldnt find an answer. My car wont hold an idle until it warms up. Right now its not even driving because im waiting for my alternator to come in the mail. but i was wonderinf if someone could show me what to check for my idle problem. I have alot of ideas what it could be. just i dont know where my Idle control sensor is, could someone show me a pic and like circle it or something? Then could it be a vac. leak? also is there another way to get to the speed sensor other than under the car, i forgot to clip it in when i replaced my transmission. like is it under the battary plate, or is there an easier way to get to it other than up on a lift agian?

I think you have to go from the bottom for the speed sensor.

As for the idle... is it flucuating badly? or totally dying? If it's dying, it is probably a sensor. Are you getting a CEL?

like in the morning it will totally die. then i have to manualy idle it with the gas. then after it warms up its fine... even when i put the clutch in at the end of the street in the morning it will die if i dont hit the gas. where is the sensor at? the CEL came back a idle control problems, but didnt give the orgin. and also the sensor that was connected to my stock header is gone, so my cel is always on. but i was wondering if anyone else had a problem before i started just replacing shitz

So you have no 1st O2 sensor? That can cause big problems. That can cause bad idles. Your car may be running rich, leaving lots of fuel left over, causing the engine to flood, and cause hard starts. When I put my chip in to make it run rich, I got that problem all the time now. Too much fuel makes it hard to breathe whne starting. Get an O2 sensor.
