Any suggestions on plug choice for a tired 350 making 140 lbs. cranking compression ?

AC Delco all the way. I tried a few different brands and found the best to be the AC Delco Rapid Fire plugs. I don't know if they still make them though, but you can get Delco Platinums. That's what I'll go with next time I change mine.

AC still makes Rapidfire plugs; and would probably be best for all around
street and strip runnings...

...but, if you don't want the $4/plug price then:

buy some Autolite #26 (new tapered "peanut plug" GM heads)
or Autolite #85 (old seated or big block heads)
.99 cents each

grind a portion of the grounding tip off, to expose the electrode towards the center of the compression chamber;
gap accordingly (.035-.060)
