Anyone going to this at the weekend?
I've just seen the adverts so I'm gonna have a drive up.
I imagine that it will be mostly RC and train sets etc but Models in Motion are there and some other modelling companies that I use so it may be good.
Only been into this hobby for 6 months so this will be my first public outing as such - hopefully there could be some bargains.
If anyone has been before can they let me know if it was any good?

Sorry, I can't tell you anything more about it. I too saw it advertised but I'm busy all weekend so I can't go. I get the impression that it's mostly going to be R/C and very little of anything else.
If you go, be sure to report back next week....

Well I'm going to go, it's not that far from me and it's a day out at least.
I expect it will be mostly RC looking at the website but hoping there will be some kits/ paints etc.
At least from the website alone I've found a couple of new shops!
I'll let you know on Monday (I'll be in Edinburgh for the next few days watching the start of the Open!)

Why will you be in Edinburgh? The Open isn't staged there! Anyway, I welcome you to my country....... feel free to have fun. By the way, wouldn't bother hunting out any model shops when you're there - they're pretty panties!

Never been before so thanks for the welcome!

Looks good, but Brum is a little far for me for a "whim" trip.

Didn't know it was on. Not into RC anyhow. Plus I've spent enough money over the past 6 months already, so I'm pulling in the budget a little. This hobby is murder on your spare cash budget..

ok, i went and yeah, it was crap!
Was a day out anyway!
There were two stands with kits - Kit Krazy and ITCI. Kit Krazy just had old stuff and was a bit pricey - bought two tamiya kits (98 scooby and 01 focus) for a tenner each so good deals.
Also managed to pick up bits and bobs like a small razor saw and some tinners etc.
It was a day out anyway!
Amazing how popular the R/C was - can't see the thrill myself but lots of people were there!
The helicopters were cool!

I think RC has more appeal as they tend to throw the kits together in next to no time, and then just race round and round.. Some are more careful about how they build them, putting perfect paint job on etc..
Never really been "into" RC myself. Had a few RC cars when I was a kid. Even had a Tamiya King Cab. But what to do with it? I got bored of RC in the end.
Still, as you say it was a day out.
