thin base coat

I can see a light stripe looks like the primer this is after i clear coated. clear coat was orange peel so i sanded it with 1000 grit can i put a new base coat over the clear coat. :confused: :feedback:

yes you can, but not if the clear is really fresh, then the basecoat may lift when you spray it over the clear. If the clear has cured for a few days then you should be okay. sand the whole panel with 1000 grit spray base and blend till the spot is covered and then clear the whole panel.
