I have a 2000 Grand Prix VIN is in the K series. I was wondering if it is possible to switch out the manual controls to the dual climate automatic controls. I know that there are four connectors on the manual control panel and the auto has only one. Is it possible to get a wiring diagram of both systems and then rewire into the connector of auto controls ?

I looked into it once, but was told that GM decommissioned them because they have a high failure rate. If you do decide to do it, you should try getting one from 1999, because the color turned red that year (to match the rest of your dash). I put a link to my post where I asked basically the same question.
Let me know how it goes.

it is not feasably possible to change to auto from manual control. Everything under the dash would have to be swapped out, as the auto system uses an entirely different heater/ac box and uses different blend doors, switches, wiring, etc... Youd be better off selling your car and buying one with auto air if that's what you realy want.

i had a feeling there'd be some internal parts to be changed, relays and whatnot. i love my 03 limited edition, but i also feel like i'm missing out not having some of the features that came in the earlier models (like the performance shift and duel climate control).
