Hi all!

Has anyone a hint on how to imitate seat covers?

I asked at several hobby stores for stuff like grass on the model railways. But they are not available in red or black.

I'm helpless... I need to make my Civic's seats.

Detail master flocking, comes in more colors than you'd ever need.

How I flock is I brush a flat color of the color flocking I'm using and sprinkle flocking over the wet paint, some choose elmers glue but I think the Paint method work's better.

I can' get coloured flocking for cheap in the UK, so I just use the games workshop stuff and spray it once it is all on the model.

I use www.modelcargarage.com for my flocking material. It's pretty cheap even with postage, it arrives in about a week and they have loads of different colours.

Thanks so far... my only Problem is:

I'm from Germany.

Around here, I can't get that stuff and shipping would not be payable. I'll have to try cfcrules method.

@ cfcrules: could you send me a picture how it looks like? Thanks!

Some other ways to 'flock' stuff...
If you have an airbrush, you can get texture with thick paint, a bunch of air pressure and a small opening. shoot at a medium distance.

Cotton flannel cloth is good for seat and door panel inserts.

many craft stores sell 'suede' material in self stick sheets.
