Reverse Glow Gauges

I am looking into purchasin a reverse glow gauge for my 2000 Cavy w/o tach. Well, if I purchase one w/ tach capability, can I hook that tach part up wiht some wires or anything like that? Any comments would be appreciated.

Only thing I can say is do not get the APC kind. If you didnt already have a tach I dont think there is any way to get it in with out actually putting in a tach. All the reveres glow gauges do is cover up the hole where your old gauge face was. So if there was no needle and tach then there will be no tach. Just a lit area where the tach should be.

I don't have the reverse glow guages anymore, but if you take a cluster with tac from a z24 or any other cavalier 2000 or above the tac will work just plugging it up like the guage cluster you have now. Also if you go to www.speedhut.com you can custamize your guages. It costs a little more, but they look damn good. Or go to ebay and get reverse glow guages for clusters without a tac. I did and they worked fine.

Reverse glow gauges are not actual gauges think of them as face plates to a phone. If your car doesnt have a tach you wont have a tach. Your gauge cluster needs to have a tach for the gauge face to read a tach. Basically its like trying to do math using your finger but you dont have hands.

With a gauge face or a gauge cluster?

replacing the cluster. The tac works perfectly.

He'll need a new cluster to buy the guage face with a tac in it. It won't fit any other way.

If I put a 190mph gauge face in my car will it go that fast?

New cluster, I forgot to mention that. And yes your car will go that fast if you put a speedo that goes that high. Hah!

Thsi is one of those random ?'s. When I get my rims on this weekend, i'll update my pics on cardomain and dotphoto and was wondering if someone could make me a custom sig with my car and new rims? I suck at making those.

No I was just not referring to the fitment of the new overlay like you were. I was telling him that if he added a new stock cluster with the tac then the tac will work, or that he could get an overlay made for cavy's w/o tacs.

That aisle isn't pointless, you're just jealous of my valve stem caps with the little l.e.d. lights on them.
