Power issue with 95 Passport 3.2L

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with my situation. I have a 95 Honda Passport 3.2L that is giving me a headache. I have been having "skipping" problems, or what appears to be. The engine will be running fine, when all of the sudden it loses power, starts smoking (black), and runs like I am in a gravel yard. I can get down on the accelerator, blow out some black smoke, and it will eventually settle back down and run like a champ. But this last time, it went down, and will not get back up. I have changed plugs, and wires, checked EGR, changed PCV, and totally cleaned the injection system. The only codes I have found (after the check engine light comes on) is for the EGR, but it appears to be operating fine. It has 150k miles, with a new transmission. I am at my wits end, as the problem has been coming and going for a while. Any help would be appreciated. :banghead:

Bad O2 sensor maybe?
