i have videos of that exhaust on integras, and it does sound good. real quiet, deep tone, stock look. Some people say that in real life it sounds like the infiniti g35's or 350z

it sounds like the exhaust is what i want, but does it still give you the preformace improvement as any other exhaust?

I also have the rs*r streetmag exhaust. I love its sound. deep mellow and quiet. which is exactly what I wanted. I've had mine on for about a year and a half, and its still great.

PS: it'll give you just about as much as any other of the "quiet" exhausts. Probly not as much as the straight through N1 style exhausts, but they are loud as hell and obnoxious. Anyway you're only talking a difference of 2-3 HP for any exhaust system without header and cat upgrades as well anyway so I would say the RS*R is the way to go regardless of horsepower gains.

Yup, all aftermarket exhausts only yield 2-4 or around there any ways so it doesnt make sense to buy an exhaust for its power increase, becuase their all the same power wise. If you really want power, go to E-bay and get a weld on fart can for $10, those add 8-12 horsepower without the use of stickers!:grinno:

the rs*r will yeild decent numbers to, not as much as the n1 styles but more then the chambered exhausts because the rs*r is a twin-pass system. It does a loop inside the muffler so it would perform better then the chambered systems but your still looking at like 1-2 hp differences

really? i thought the rsr exmag was a chambered design?

how much does a rs*r system cost?

the rsr costs around 480ish from where i've looked around. And yes really, the rsr is a twinpass exhaust. It looks chambered but the loop is inside the muffler and many people get it confused with a chambered system. you can call the rsr company and everyone there will tell you the rsr is a twinpass

does anyone know anything about the RS*R GT2 exhaust?? just wondering what its like compared to the RS*R exmag exhaust....

the GT2 is gonna perform better then the exmag because the GT2 was made to be a straight through system and the straighter the piping, the more air flow it allows. The GT2 was made to be the straightest system and it only has one bend so it is one of the straightest piping systems you will find.

I bet it's a hell of a lot louder.

its actually very loud especially comparing it to the exmag. exmag is really quiet. i love it. as for it sounding like a g35... kinda sorta.

is the GT2 exhaust loud compared to other straight through exhausts? or is it a little bit quieter, because i want something that can be heard but is not lousd enought to block out my stereo

GT2 is one of the loudest exhausts on the market... Exmag is one of the quietest.

does any one know if the RS*R Ex Mag in the long run will rust? I've heard that there is a more of a chance of it rusting than a full stainless steel system like the Greddy Sp2 or something.

umm it is a stainless steel system.
I've had mine on through two nasty upstate New York winters with road salt and god only knows what else on the roads, and theres just a little surface rust on the weld points, other than that the black paint wore off from road dirt hitting it but the metal underneath is shiny stainless.

PS: the welds have some surface rust due to the actual welding process. When stainless steal is welded it brings the carbon up to the surface which will allow some surface rust but no deep rust. really no way around it or so i've been told.

thanks for your input...i live in california so i guess that it won't be such a problem....and it's also good to know that it's stainless steel underneath, which i kind figured it would be. I 've heard that some people said that the only SS part of the RS*R Exmag was the tip, but i guess not. When you said the paint wore off, did you mean like little specs from rocks hitting it or like gradual fading.....i know that this sounds kinda picky, but i guess i really want to know as much as possible before purchasing any exhaust system.

Well I visit my family who lives on a dirt road alot and I also know alot of "short cuts" in my area that also happen to be dirt roads. So I think the main reason the paint wore off is from the massive dust plume my car makes when I do 60-70 mph on dirt roads. Also they use alot of salt and sand on the roads around here in the winter. I bought my car down in jersey and it was spotless, after being up here for 3 winters I have alot of rust. My trunk lid actually rusted through on me, hence why i'm in the process of stripping, sanding, filling and painting my whole car this summer.

Anyway yeah the piping is all stainless with a black paint covering it, like I said the paint gradually got worn off from the road dust/rocks/salt and the metal underneath is not rusting so it must be stainless because even normal galvanized pipe would have started to show rust by now. I don't know what grade of stainless it is but thats beside the point. So I highly recomend it, and seeing that the worst you will put it through is rain I think it should last you quite a long time.

cool, thanks again for your input...i'm still in debate between RS*R exmag or greddy Sp2, but i like the look of the RS*R because it looks more stock and the tip isn't huge like the greddy ...anyways thanks again and i'll post something when i get a cat-back system......

Oh, also if you have a pic or pics avail. , i would like to see them...but if not, no big deal.
