I know where there is a 94 Z28 with a blown engine.
The car is in excellent condition body & interior wise (clean, no rips in the upholstery, headliner , stains & ect. Never been wrecked, no dents, rust, scratches & ect.)
It pretty much has all the options - Electric seats, windows, locks, A/C, CC, Cloth Seats, T-top ,ect. (everything works) Nothing has been modified from factory, or half ass rigged up . I know the original owner, and he assures me of no water leaks.
As far as i know the transmission, Rear end, and the rest of the suspension is good to go also.
The car has 96,000 miles on it.

What would this car be worth "AS IS" approximately ?

Would it be worth the trouble to replace the engine with a new crate Goodwrench Engine?

What would be a realistic estimate to have a "New" Goodwrench 350 engine installed back to OEM specs? And would it be better to buy a complete engine, or a short block assembly and use the external components from the engine that is in the car currently?

what exactly is "blown" about it. If it's nothing major, then you can probably get it rebuilt cheaper than buying a new engine altogether.

And for the "AS IS" price. I'd say anything under $1500 would be reasonable. Especially since he claims that the engine is toast. Though, I myself, wouldn't go over $1000 if I were you. Only reason why I say that is because I've seen totaled trans am's with a good LT1 and drivetrain in em go for around $2000 to $2500

Actually , Im not sure what is wrong with the engine, The guy just said it was blown up & since he hasn't fixed it himself already I just automatically assumed it was toast and not worth rebuilding.

well, lets say a complete clean running 94 with those miles was worth 7000, now this ones a paper weight because it needs an engine, a new engine probly costs somehwere around 5k. (not counting money saved for finding one for a great deal) and its worth 2k, so id say anywhere between 1 and 2 thousand is a good price for it.
