Idol troubles

I have been having this problem with my car's idol (93 honda prelude si) for some reason the idol keeps reving and doesn't stop. I put it on a diagnostic machine and the mechanic said there was something wrong with the idol rod? he said it was bent and he straightened it out and it was running fine for a while but then it started to act up again now. Can someone possible help me out to tell me how to fix this annoying problem?

Im a horrible troubleshooter so I wont even try, I do have to say it is idle, not idol.

Happened to me, put some Lucas fuel system cleaner in the fuel tank and it hasn't happened since.

I just have to say: That is awesome! (hey maybe the prelude is his idol.)

By "reving", what are we talking? (over what RPM range is it bouncing, and how fast is it going up and down?) Do you have any aftermarket parts (performance) on it?
