Ford Ranger/Mazda B3000 sisters

more info here so couple of questions: B3000 running down the road and dies but may start back up 30 mins or so/ someone had mentioned about a shock sensor which I figured out had to be the inertia sensor---where is this sensor located? / the other questions is someone mentioned about a "hall" sensor that is set inside the distributor but the parts place has no clue what it is or what it does. I know I need to check the fuel pressure also and someone mentioned it should be about 40 psi. For the problem, are we headed in the right direction and can anyone help with the questions listed. The mech just want me to "bring it in" and money is a little short

The hall sensor is located below the rotor and works like the "points and condensor" of older vehichles(it uses a magnet instead of an actuual contact switch). It might be referred to as a "magnetic pick up" or "pickup assembly"- it is usually easy to install. Just refer to a working manual for your particular application to be positive of what your getting into (I think some distributers require pulling a shaft(?) every one I've changed though, was easy and direct.)

The problem you describe also sounds like a problematic ignition coil. They can work fine when cold but as one heats up it can start to fail.

You can pick up a fuel pressure gauge kit for $30-$45. its pretty easy to use and most of the time 35-45 psi is within normal range, but again use a manual for your vehichle to be sure.
