i personally dont reccomend it, especially if you live in a cold climate. the coolant flowing through the throttle body is to keep it from freezing up. if you live in perpetual warmth (aka california, i hate all of you) it can be done, but i dont know that it would really offer you that much of a performance increase.

I did it on my TPI engine and it hasnt given me any trouble. I dont drive it in the winter but once the engine starts putting out heat how could the throttle blade possibly freeze up?

quite simple, cold air is flowing through it, it dosnt freeze solid like a block of ice, but condensation that forms on the butterfly valves around the pivot points will freeze and your throttle will stick. its not pretty. I mean its not like an end all modification that will kill you if you do it, just personally i wouldnt do it to my car is all.

I have done it, since my car doesn't ever get driven in colder weather.
PacePerformance had a TB bypass kit....but I can't seem to find it on their site right now.
