i have a 98 grand prix GTP (3.8L). I have a K&N filter and i've been fixing it up because I bought it from my sister but it's an awesome car and I want to get more power from it. my friend, who is a mechanic for mercedes benz, told me that if i made the pulley on the supercharger smaller i'd get more power from it but i'd have to change some things besides just the pulley. my questions are what kind of pulley am i looking for, what size, how much does it cost, and what else besides the pulley will i have to change in order to make it work how it should. also, will this affect my car at all as far as damaging it? thanks in advance.

3.4 Pulley is the smallest you want to go on a stock motor. But I'd throw in a reprogrammed CPU first.

I'm sorry, make that a PCM. Thinking too much about these two computers I'm building.
Here's a couple sites;
http://www.pfyc.com/store/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PFYC&Product_Code=GP3012&Product_Count=0&Category_Code=GPUNDER
http://www.3800performance.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=PCM
http://www.clubgpstore.com/itemview.asp?itemid=89
There's a couple more. But this should do ya. There's also a couple of guys on Ebay that say they will reprogram them for like $75.00. But, I don't know anyone that has ever used them.
Good luck. These cars are very easy to get HP out of, but watch for the other end. You'll rip up trans (faster), Have fun.
