antenna

are the antennas (middle end of the roof) removable? i am thinking about purchasing a vibe, but i have a surfboard i want to put on the rack and this antenna will certainly get in the way. can they be removed? or is there any solution??

the shaft can be removed by unscrewing it . the body on the roof is fixed
