tire hop

getting terrible tire hop on my 95 bird i have tryed tire pressure and thats it too much air no grip low air and well tire hop :screwy:
any tips wouold be great

I will let you know just as soon as I solve mine, I am trying some slp subframe's and will probably get some control arms but mine hops like the friggin easter bunny.

Its probably a problem with one of the rims/tires themselves. Out of round issue perhaps, maybe a bent rim. Id take it to a tire shop and have them spin them on a balancer while you watch and see if any of the tires/rims are out of round/bent.

no the tire hop im refering to is a tracktion problem (insted of hoking up or just spining the jump up and down not good for the rearend) thinking of trying air shocks then i can stiffin or soffen the rear but for 80+ buck its gunna be a while putting too much into the 383

Ah, I see what your saying. Sort of like on a pickup truck...due to the lack of weight in the back right? In that case...nevermind.

How are you getting tire hop? The only way I can even get my 3.4 to spin when I'm sittin still is to hold down the brake. And note, it only spins the right rear tire. So unless you're trying to do a burnout or something, then you really shouldn't be having any issues with tire hop. Unless of course your pushing out 250+ hp and have upgraded your rear end to a posi unit. Which, if that's the case, then I'm really impressed. :thumbsup:
