se-r vs se-r spec-v ( vs lancer ralliart )

I know that se-r spec-v is really outstanding car. Then, how about
just se-r? Is it just crap becuse it has automatic transmission and
does not have LSD and 17 inch tires? Se-r does not handle like se-r
spec-v or their handling is same? And is se-r slower a little bit or much
slower than se-r spec-v?
One more, how about lancer ralliart comparing se-r and se-r spec-v?
thank you.

well according to car and driver, and i think track magazine, the spec v blows both cars away in the handling department, the lancer ralliart tries too hard to be the evo without anything good the evo posseses, the SE-R and the spec v are about even in a drag as long as the se-r has a 5 speed, but the spec will beat the ser on a road course by anything from 2-9 seconds depending on the track......ranking from last to first: lancer, SE-R, Spec v

by about even i mean the SE-r gets beat but not blown away like it would on a road course.... i think quarter times are something like 0.5-1.0 seconds behind or something like that

the price for a specv is only a few hundred more than the non spec v (read:automatic only) se-r...LSD is optional on the Spec V i believe in one of their packages..
the spec v has 10 more hp (175 vs 165) and has enhanced stability and cornering, over all it really breaks down to whether you can drive stick or not, both cars will kick ass but the spec v will school the automatic version, 4 cylinders + automatic=slow....

I'm pretty sure the LSD is standard on the Spec. And there is NOT a 1 second difference between the SE-R's and the Spec's acceleration. More like .1-.2 seconds of difference in the 1/4. The Lancer isn't too slow either. It should be able to do at least a 15.8. The Spec does about a 15.4 and the SE-R about a 15.6. But as far as the price difference, the SE-R is a worthless "money-saver" if you want performance. Just get the Spec.
