hi,
i recently put 285/75R16 tires on my 99 GMC Yukon 4 door. they perform great, and airing them down made sandy beaches and heavy mud a dream to handle, but occasionally i get tire rub when the wheels travel high.
i'm thinking of putting anywhere from a 2" to 4" suspension lift on my truck, but the prices i'm finding seem really high ($1000+ for most of the 4" kits from names i know like Rancho, Superlift, Tuff Country, etc.)
are there lesser-known brands available at better prices? do such "no-name" suppliers make quality hardware? what is the least i could reasonably expect to spend on such a project, keeping in mind that i don't want to scrape the bottom of the quality barrel.
