How about you check the block insted of a piece of paper, and no the redline of a b1 is around 5-5500.

the b1 is the same motor as in the HF right? Or maybe im wrong? I dunno. Well anyway, when I had a hf, the redline was 5500, and it bounced rev limit at 6500.

sorry to jack your thread ATMDC...but what if you do a MPFI swap...will the redline of 7100 be to much for the d15b1 using the si ecu?...or should i not pass 6500 rpm? thanks in advance...

MPFI swap wont change the redline of the car, feel free to rev your little heart out though- the rest of us will remain laughing.

I've had no problems whatsoever revving d15s up to 7000. keep your oil changed, you should be okay. They dont make power up that high with the stock head, but a vtec head is a different story... BTW, a honda D15 block has a better rod/stroke ratio than a d16 block, their only downfall is they have small bearings.
