91 to 96-98 interior swap

I would like to install a 96-98 interior into my 91 Silverado and have a few questions.
Will the HVAC controls from the newer interior work with the older system?
Will the 96-98 gauge cluster connect to the 91's harness or do I need to do some extreme re-wiring?
Obvioulsy the light controls are different, but I'm confident I could switch that over.
Any help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A degree in electrical engineering would be necessary.
Stick with swapping the seats, center console and door panels. Learn to love your dash... It ain't that bad.

Actually the dash is that bad. It's in perfect shape, but it is ugly. Funny you should mention the engineering degree. I am going to school for computer systems engineering, which involves a bit of electrical engineering.
Yah I've decided I want an extended cab now, so the interior swap is no longer an idea, thank you though.
