New Pix Of the Pimp-Mobile

Well about a week ago I posted a thread on here about painting my rims, and about nobody helped...so i thank nobody, lol. Sorry the pix are so shitty, my digital camera is about to die and we are too cheap to buy another one, lol. You get the idea from the pix though, let me know what you guys think. These are 17" TSW Revo's painted Black Metallic, by my friend and I.

If I had a choice, I would have smaller rims, but i got these 17's as a gift from my grandparents. I almost sold them last summer for a set of 16x7 Rota Slipstreams gunmetal with a polished lip. I then realized I didn't wanna spend that much money on my car and decided to paint my rims that I had. Hundreds of dollars vs. $30 for paint and some manual labor.

All I did was use my dads 'mouse' sander to get the paint off, then used some fine grit sandpaper, painted, lit of fireworks between coats, then applied the clear coat.

I also wish I had a damn camera that knew how to take a clear picture.

I like my car for some reasons, and dislike it for others. I dislike it because it is not that quick, needs new struts, and is really damn small on the inside...I like it because I get 30+ mpg, it is reliable, good turning radius. I'm still gonna have this car for a while, unless I magically get an extra $10,000 somehow, and I don't see that happening anytime soon.

That looks nice, love the color. I bet 16's would look a lil better but since your grandparents got them for you thats pretty sweet. I'd never get rims from my grandparents, so your lucky there.

looks good, i liked it with them white though. i've been thinking about doing the same to my rims though.

White was good but the rims were kinda fucked, scratched from a few curbs over the years and from a drive thru car wash. They look a lot better in person compared to the pix, but then again I have really started to like dark rims again. It was nice being able to sand down and away all my scratch marks and make them look new lol.

I think the rims look good, i like dark colored rims, im thinkin of doin the same dark gunmetal for mine but my crx is black and im not sure if that would be too much darkness. what do you guys think?

i agree. the dark rims look hot on that car. a few more black accents and it will be "good money" :icon16: my opinion the white on white rim theme is old now!! just a opinion.. theres too many ppl around my part with that setup.

you can take a front lip off a 1st gen teggy and cut it...it looks really good thats what i did i paid 5 bucks for it at the junkyard and my bumper looks a lot better

looks good but i like gloss black more. i got my rims gun metal with a polished lip, sanded them down primered them painted them gloss black and i really like em on my black hatch with tinted windows i just like the blacked out look though
