Hey guys, For a while now i have known that on my Vacuum modulator line (the end that connects to the transmission case) the little rubber boot has a nice big gash in it like somebody tried to eat it. Well the car doesnt always shift properly due to the vacuum being improper. My question is what is that little boot, fitting, seal, W/e u wanna call it called? whats ths part number. its really driving me nuts, i have been trying to find out for a long time and im going crazy haha.
i know for a fact its the Vacuum line for the modulator, the only thing i can think of is that its the Modulator to case fitting, but im not 100% sure. i looked on JCwhitney and Rockauto but the only things i find are SO-33.
If you want to look on your car and see if you can see it, the hose goes from the passenger side behind the engine over the throttle body down under the Air box. and right there on the side of the transaxle u will see the little fitting, It reminds me a Backwards L <-- faciing that way, towards the front of the car, with a Bolt in it. its just a little boot of some sort.
I would be greatly appreciative to anyone that can tell me what it is :D
Ill be your computer tech support if you can figure it out for me lol.
BTW car information.
1991 Lumina Euro 3.1
3.1L V6 Vin-T Multiport Fuel injection.
TH-125 (3t40) transmission
Thanks guys, i know jeffco should know something about this or at least i hope, he seems to be an expert near the airbox area :P

If you're just looking for the rubber elbow that goes from the hard steel line to the modulator, take your's off and go in to any auto parts store that carries the Motormite HELP! line of miscellaneous fittings, and they should have them in their Vac-u-tite rack. Just match it to your original.

It almost sounds like you're talking about the vacuum mod itself. If you're standing in front of the car with the airbox off, looking at the tranny, the vacuum mod has a reverse L shaped bracket with a bolt on the far end to hold it on.
