OK i have a plan so tell me what you think. Im thinking about buying a Nissan 240z then put in a new engine i was thinking a Ford Racing 302ci / 345hp GT-40 Aluminum Head Engine. and probably a turbo and booster timer.

i would say forget the 240 and your domestic swap idea and get a real Z like a 300zx and by boost timer i take it you mean turbo timer not such a necessity to have unless you like to get out of your car right away after parking also convenient to have though .. i would spend my money on other parts first that will actually increase performance

that's great... you'd probably be more welcome over at hybrid z tho.. they seem to be into the american stuff in the older z's... around here you'll find that people aren't so keen on it.

I'm plenty keen on it. I was adding up how much it would have been to drop a Ford small block crate motor in my car and I would have gotten about 75% of the final performance for about 50% of the cost.
Power wise:
3. Small NA motor
2. Large NA motor or Small forced induction motor
1. Large forced induction motor
Always start out as big as you can go. And given that there are ready made kits for a V8 swap into a 240Z it's actually fairly cost effective.

well, considering according to your sig and profile you're not even 16 yet, i recommend getting used to the car as it is.. it takes a few years of driving experience before most people are ready to handle serious amounts of hp... just a warning tho, our z's are rare enough as it is..
with that in mind, there are lots of swaps that are doable with the 240z, most of them are either RB series inline 6's or some swap in the 4 cyl. sr20det from the nissan sylvia's/pulsar gtir/other stuff. mostly anything you can swap in will be lighter than the stock 2.4 litre iron brick.. other than maybe the stupidly heavy older american v8's... speaking of v8's, there's also the VH45DE that comes from the Q45 nissan luxury car. it's an aluminum block 4.5 litre that puts out roughly 300hp.. with the vk41/45? head that bumps up to around 340, and with a good flowing exhaust and intake will get you around 400 hp... that's all n/a as well... slap on a supercharger or a couple of turbo's, and you'll have a car that will beat 99.9999% of any other car on the road... that's of course if you can handle it...
