AF Meet...

Yes I know this topic has been broughten up millions of times and there has been just as many reasons why it will never work, but I think I found the problem.
In the past, people have tried to find a central location for all members to agree on...which we know would never work. So my suggestion would be have several meets not necessarily on the same dates, the people involved in the meet would have to agree on one.
Now on to some guidelines:
-No less than 15 members must show up to the meet.
-At least 75% of those who will show up must agree on a specific location and time
-Cities do not have to be major ones. Although it will be a better place, it is not a neccessaty.
-There must be at least one member wo will take the initiative and organize it umongst the others. More is better.
-One of the activities must include a group photoshoot. We want to see the people there. The rest of the day/night will be organized by the "leader/s".
-Modertors on AF are not moderators in the real world.
-The "leader" must create a list of members who will be coming to the appointed location. This list must be available to other members in some way so that they can add their names to it.

Now I will be the first to vote for the Motor City...Detroit. It should be close enough to us Canucks in Ontario and I'm sure there must be alot of people on AF in or around the city.

So here goes the first list.

I've got a meeting in a couple weeks in St. Joeseph MI (other side of the state then Detrot) and its the only one I plan on going to. I'm not sure how many active members we have on either side of the Claire River.

If some southeast people get something together ill go.

im in florida who wouldnt want to come here. well this weekend would be shitty cause of dennis. fucking hurricanes this storm is gunna mess my world up. but my dad at least created space in the garage for me so my car wouldnt have to sit outside where cows and trees would be flying through the air

Those who are interested should start a list like I have.

Now lets not be selfish and choose our hometown (Detroit is a 2 hour drive minus the 1.5 hour at the border).

Once some lists get going I'm sure there could be some that can be merged to accomidate everyone and attract more members.

Even though Destin is about 6 hours away its fuckin beautiful there, I could make a vacation out of it, so Im game for Destin, as long as there is no hurricane and I can get off work.

Im from Aiken, SC. Its right at the GA, SC boarder by Augusta so it wouldnt be too bad really. Also early August would be awesome since I dont have any class for the first couple weeks. Lets do it!

If we're going to do the Midwest, why don't we pick somewhere closer to Indiana/Chicago. Maybe some kind of campground like the dunes in Michigan? Beautiful area, plenty of open air, and if everyone's nice, we can go visit the lovely town of Benton Harbor :p

I will do any of the above as well. Just trying to stay away from jersey. But I know a great place to camp out in PA and we can go white water rafting, and four wheeling/dirtbiking too. I can borrow my friend's ATVs and truck and trailer. It sleeps like 8 or 9 if you pack in(exluding me, I can sleep in the truck). I am always up for a road trip.

lets do Milan Drag Strip in michigan. We can all meet up before hand and get some lunch, head out to the drag strip for the day, that way if none of us get along atleast we can drag. Then afterwards head out to a bar or something.

Wednesday and Friday nights are test n tune nights. Gates open at 4 PM, run as much as you can for 20 bucks. Closes at like 9pm-10pm. Also the first friday of each month there is no test n tune. Friday nights also share test n tune with bracket racing that starts at 6 PM. But its not usually that crowded, everytime ive gone ive gotten like 6-9 runs in a day.

Milan exit is Exit 25 on US 23 South.
