Does anyone have one of these installed?
Is it worth the money?
I found them on ebay for $299.00 (Free Shipping).
What kind of problems do you have if the stock one is going out?
I have a 1998 5.7 GMC Z71 with K&N fuel injection kit installed.
Thanks!!

Why do you think you need a new MAF? Personally, I feel this is a waste of money. The stock MAF is fine unless you are doing cam, heads and exhaust which then require more air to enter the engine.
The money would be better spent on a Nelson tune or exhaust IMHO.

I'm not sure that I need one.
I was wondering what happens when one is going bad.
I replaced my MAP sensor and it didn't solve the problem and thought it might be the MAS.
If I have to replace it, would it be better to go back stock or an aftermarket item?
Thanks

In my opinion, it is better to go stock. An aftermarket MAF sensor probably requires reprogramming since the tables are different.

as long as you have no idea how an EFI works, you better go stock.
since they are adjustable the granatellis are great units and are fine for EFI tuners - but without knowledge your car will only run worse than before
if you have a problem on your car, have you checked for any trouble codes? if theres a problem in your EFI system you should get a code on a 98

If one of these sensors goes bad or gets broke. The truck will not run concidering this regulators any and all of the air flowing into the engine and without this piece working the wrong amount of air will be injected with the fuel if any. Good luck
