I want to paint some of my dash and I need to know what kind of paint to buy? What kinds look the best..and so on. Any tips when painting the dash? and one other question.... anyone have any loud systems in your cavi's? Im running 1500 rms and 3000 watts peak with a dual battery set up, Its loud enough for me but i was just wondering if anyone has like shattered there back window because of the subs being so loud or if anyone has a huge system in there car.

I dont know what to use (if anything) on the soft parts, but I just used primer, Krylon Fusion, and clear coat. I think it turned out great... the paint is pretty durable too, you cant scratch it off with your finger nail or anything comparable with normal amounts of force. My system consists of a single 10" and around 200w RMS and thats plenty for me.

Heres my dash...

You can sand if you want. I didnt, I just did it over the stock finish. Sanding will give you a smooth, fiberglass looking surface as opposed to the colored stock looking surface that you would get just painting. If you sand make sure to do it right, or the job might look tacky and uncomplete. I would sand with like 100, 220, 380, and 600 grit papaers to get a nice smooth glossy surface.

I've got 2 Rockford 12's, Audiobahn 6x9s and 2 amps (900 Peak for subs, 400 peak for interior)... I've also put in 2 tweeters in the dash to raise the sound stage) its more than enough for my little cavi... haha... as for interior stuff, If you're gonna paint the dash, please make sure you take your time and do it right.. If you rush it, its gonna look really bad... btw, thor, nice job on that.. nice and smooth and all....
