It's a mystery

I have a '94 Eddie Bauer with very strange symptoms. First the cruise control quit working, then the horn. About a week later I was driving home and the transmission was acting like it was low on fluid, the speedometer wasn't working, the ABS light stayed lit and the fan motor to the A/C wasn't blowing. Found a leak in one of the vacuum lines, repaired it and EVERYTHING went back to normal. Couldn't believe what an easy fix it was. Three days later the cruise control and horn quit working again. This is a new vehicle for me so I don't have any history with it. My last Bronco was an '88 XLT that I drove for 12 years. Any insight, sugesstions, etc. would be most appreciated.

Could be a fuse box problem. Start the truck and wiglle the fuse box, if things start to go haywire, there's your problem. If the truck was an east coast truck, definitely check the grounds and power wires for breaks.

Thanks J-Roc... however that was one of the first things I checked and it wasn't the problem. My husband was convinced that the problem had to be in the steering collum. Turns out he was right. The clock spring had gotten damaged when the previous owner added a new steering wheel. I put in a new clock spring last Sunday and all is well. It was a very easy fix. The part was only $89.00.
