Just the other day my wife was almost hit by somebody and when she went to lay on the horn, there was nothing, the horn was dead. Anyone have any idea what might be the cause and if so, is it an easy doit yourself fix or is it something that will need to be taken in for.

My wife's 2000 lost the horn in 2003. Stick your head under the hood and have someone press on the horn. If you hear a click and no horn, it is probably the horn unit itself. I think a replacement costs about $15 and it takes a half hour to replace. If I remember correctly, the horn in the 2000 was positioned low and in a location where it frequently was doused with water, salt, etc.
If you don't hear any clicking, than something else is wrong, probably a bad relay. I don't know how to fix that but I am sure it is not too bad.
