i wanted to know if cvpi are prone to having some play in steering wheel. i got an alignment but my steering will is not facing 12 oclock while going straight. it faces closer to 11 oclock. how can i fix this problem? should this be straight after getting an alignment? it really bothers me alot!!! thanks guys

Does it pull to one side or the other. Probably the tech didn't have the steering wheel locked straight when he aligned it. If it is not pulling, you could try lengthening one tie rod and shortening the other to bring it straight. Mark the sleeve and the tie rod before you start and turn them exactly the same # of turns. Just pay attention and don't lengthen both or shorten both or you will change your toe. I just went out and looked under my car - they are front steer, so lengthening the drivers side and shortening the passenger side should do it.
BUT, the obvious answer is take it back to the guy who did it and get him to fix it... It's his bad if it wasn't that way before. Any 12 year old car is going to have some slop in the steering but a good alignment shop should check all front end components before doing the alignment and should make you aware of any concerns that would prevent a proper alignment.

that actually makes all the sense in the world., u r right about the tie rods. he had to straighten out my toe. he even took it for a test drive after he finished it. so yes he will be adjusting the tie rods for me bro! thanks man
