If the front is down the tires will hit the wheel wells in harder turns. How far do you have to go?

Hey pal thanks for the response..I do not have to go very far and I think I have a pretty smooth route to try and drive it like 5 miles an hour to the shop..I might get creative and wedge a block of wood on bothe the front sides.
As far as the labor I ordered a complete kit from arnott industries..they say no special tools are required..was that the case for your 85???Man these are sweet looking rides!!! Is yours the V edition also??

Just a plain jane conti in black.
Good luck with the suspension conversion.
Mine was pretty straightforward with common hand tools. the strut mounting bolts were in need of some heat to remove. I replaced the shocks and struts while i was at it.

The kit from strutmasters was not quite as good as arnott's as far as hardware. The only problem I encountered was the rear sits a little low. They are in the process of sendind me some spacers to raise it up. I've read the same about arnott's kit but don't know if it will hold true for each different conti.

If you haven't stopped over at Lincolnsonline (http://www.lincolnsonline.com/) give it a try. A good group of very knowledgeable guys. A wealth of info also.

Another nice site.
