alright, my question is this...
you've known a girl for around 8 months...probably know more about her than her best friend...you know you have feelings for her but haven't told her...should you go for something more than the friendship or leave it at that??

if you dont make a move she will think of you always has that nice reliable male friend and wont consider you dating material at all
make the move or forever get stuck in the friend role

Excuse me for intervention, but I was in such situation too and if my best mate hadn't made the attempt, I wouldn't be married now...
But don't worry, so far it does't come always... ;)

yeah, wasn't that a line in Dead Poets Society. we had to watch that movie in 7th grade. plus the fact that i was forced to take 3 years of Latin. I never thought i would actually use it.

Ask her on a date what the worst that can happen she wil tell you no right. I was the same 6 months ago and i asked my current girlfriend out and we have had a wonderful time together.

I was in the same situation. If she's a good a friend as you say then things won't get weird or funny if you ask her out and she says no.
I asked a girl I was friends with out and she said she just wanted to say friends but our friendship got stronger. So don't worry on any negatives there are only positives.
If she says no, so what, you two will forget about it and keep going. She says yes, hey, you're banging your best friend, what luck.

the guy who makes the most sttempts gets laid the most so go for it. if you dont go for it then it wont happen and you will never forgive yourself it happened to me when i was younger and stupid. if i could go back i would have gone for that girl and as someone else said id probablly be married or damn close to it
